Chelsea might earn handsomely from the sale of Malang Sarr.

Malang Sarr is edging closer to moving to Monaco, and Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph is starting to tell us more about the specifics of the potential agreement.

He claims that it will be a loan arrangement with a £600,000 season fee. If certain conditions are met, they will be required to purchase him for £10 million. We believe that conditions are linked to looks. There are additionally £3 million.

As Law points out, the fact that Sarr was signed on a free transfer means that it’s all pure profit – less his wages from the first year he was here, when he was on loan with Porto who presumably paid a chunk of them anyway.

This was always the plan when we signed him – pick him up free, give him a loan and some games and then sell him on. £10m would have been the higher end of what we hoped for, let alone £3m.
